SUSTAINABILITY
As everyday ticks by we become more conscious of the need to take care and conserve our planet. That is why we want to use more sustainable raw materials. Baluard Barcelona supports Eco Friendly Fabrics. Fabrics made using recycled materials, a practice which boosts both the circular economy and benefits other economies too. Or by using materials made with natural fibres, like cottons or EcoVero viscose. In short, our collection focuses on the use of fabrics that are within sustainability and efficiency parameters, that are regulated regarding harmful substances and that ensure that the working conditions of the employees are decent.

Raw Materials
Shirt fabric made with 100% Viscose Viyella
Manufacture of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres generate up to 50% less emissions and impact on water resources when compared to general viscose. The raw material used for ECOVERO™ fibre when it is produced is cellulose obtained from renewable wood resources. Lenzing buys the wood and cellulose from responsibly managed forests and the certificates show that the material obtained comes from sustainable sources. The special manufacturing system allows LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fibres to be identified in the final product, even after a long process and conversions through the value chain. For environmentally conscious consumers, they can be reassured that the retailers and brands that include LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose products are authentic and responsible with the environment.
Viscose viyella is a soft fabric that combines both lightness and warmth with heavy hang.
